Q-SYS RoomSuite Collaboration Bar
The Q-SYS RoomSuite Collaboration Bar features built-in audio, camera, and compute. Adding the touch screen controller and up to four optional table microphones creates a single All-in-One system built to work seamlessly with Microsoft Teams Rooms. Its configuration, monitoring, and day-to-day management is conducted through the local web application, RoomSuite Collaboration Bar Manager.

Get Started with RoomSuite Collaboration Bar Manager
Learn how to access the local web interface, sign in, navigate the application, and understand the relationship between the local Manager and Q-SYS Reflect on the Access page.
Before You Begin
-
You must know the IP address of the RoomSuite Collaboration Bar.
-
Your client device must be on the same local network as the bar.
-
Configuration changes require Edit Mode. Click the edit icon to enable changes, then save when complete.
-
For remote monitoring and administration, register the device with Q-SYS Reflect.
About RoomSuite Collaboration Bar Manager
RoomSuite Collaboration Bar Manager is the local web application hosted by the RoomSuite Collaboration Bar. All configuration, monitoring, and day-to-day management is performed through a browser on the same local network without requiring Q-SYS Designer programming. Optional cloud connectivity through Q-SYS Reflect extends the system with fleet-wide monitoring and centralized administration.
Typical Users: IT administrators, facility managers, AV integrators, and support staff who need to commission, monitor, and manage collaboration bar rooms through a browser without deep system design knowledge.
-
View system and peripheral status at a glance.
-
Configure audio settings, audio fence, camera modes, and video fence.
-
Manage display options, controller behavior, content sharing, and BYOD mode.
-
Access event logs, download system information, and reboot the device.
-
Register with Q-SYS Reflect for cloud-based monitoring and administration.
Room's Status at a Glance
View system type, model, serial number, Teams Rooms version, peripheral connectivity, and overall health indicators on the Monitoring > Status page. System Reliability Reports in Q-SYS Reflect provide a longer-term view of performance (Reflect Plus tier).
Review System Events
Filter by severity and time window, browse, and export a timestamped record of system activity from the Monitoring > Event Log. This includes Wi-Fi state changes, meeting events, display connections, power-on, and abrupt shutdown recovery.
Configure Network and Identification
Manage Wi-Fi connectivity, set the host name, and use the Identify Device feature (flashing yellow LEDs) to confirm the correct bar during installation on the Network Settings > Basic page.
Note: Wired network parameters are not configured through this interface. Because the collaboration bar is a Windows-based device, wired network configuration is administered through Windows or MTR tools.
Set Date, Time, and NTP Synchronization
Configure the time zone, set date and time, and enable NTP synchronization for accurate event log timestamps on the Network Settings > Date & Time page.
Download Diagnostics and Reboot
Generate a system information snapshot for Q-SYS Support or restart the device from the Utilities page.
Connect to Q-SYS Reflect
The RoomSuite Collaboration Bar can exist as a system in Q-SYS Reflect, similar to RoomSuite Modular Systems and Q-SYS Core-based designs. While the collaboration bar operates fully on its own without Reflect, registering the device unlocks additional capabilities for multi-room environments, including fleet-wide monitoring, System Reliability Reports (Reflect Plus tier), and centralized administration.
RoomSuite Collaboration Bar does not require Q-SYS Reflect to operate. All features, including audio configuration, camera setup, display management, and daily operation, work entirely through the local Manager web interface.
Test outbound connectivity, then register using a traditional code or streamlined QR-based onboarding to enable fleet-wide monitoring, System Reliability Reports, and centralized administration on the Reflect page. QR onboarding supports bulk registration of multiple devices for site deployments.
Shape How Your Room Sounds
Adjust speaker level and mute state, microphone EQ (low, mid, and high bands), and noise suppression level (0–10) to match your room's acoustics on the Audio Settings page.
Focus Pickup Where It Matters
Define your room dimensions, specify a directional pickup region, and use direction-of-arrival processing to reject unwanted noise on the page.
Choose How Participants Are Framed
Select from five intelligent camera modes: Manual, Auto Framing, Active Speaker Framing, Tile View, and Active Speaker Tiling. Configure transition speed, frame padding, audio switching activation, cross-talk switching time, and room view on the Camera Setup page.
Keep the Camera Focused on the Room
Define a visual region of interest so intelligent camera modes ignore areas outside the meeting space, such as glass walls facing a hallway, with Video Fence on the Camera Setup page.
Manage Your Connected Displays
View display model, ID, resolution, and connection status. Configure screen standby behavior and use CEC power controls for troubleshooting on the Display Options page.
Customize the In-Room Experience
Enable or disable camera controls, integrate Q-SYS Room Controls from an external Core using a UCI link and token, choose your content sharing source (USB-C or HDMI input), adjust screen brightness, and set up Bring Your Own Device mode on the Controller Configuration page.
See What's Connected
View connected controllers, table microphones (up to 4 daisy-chained), and displays, including type, model, firmware version, and status, on the Peripherals page. Peripheral status rolls up into the overall system health shown on the Monitoring > Status page.
Peripheral Support
Controller
RS-CB-CTL11 Controller - UC controller paired with the collaboration bar for in-room touch interaction.
Table Microphones
RS-CB-TM Expansion Table Mic - RoomSuite Collaboration Bar Expansion Table Microphones expand audio coverage beyond the built-in array. Up to 4 mics can be daisy-chained together in a setup with a RoomSuite Collaboration Bar.
Status
Monitor status of peripherals. More detailed information found on the Monitoring > Status page.
Automatic Web Application Updates
The Manager web application supports automatic over-the-air updates from the Q-SYS cloud update server. The bar does not need to be registered to Reflect to receive these updates, but it does need internet access. The device checks for updates at boot and at a predefined time of day; if a newer version is available, the application updates automatically.
Note: During an OTA update, the Manager interface may become temporarily unreachable. This is expected behavior. The interface will return once the update completes and the device regains network connectivity.
