Audio Settings

Speaker controls are intended primarily as commissioning settings to match room acoustics rather than runtime volume adjustment.

Use EQ controls to compensate for room acoustics or to tailor vocal presence for remote participants.

Parameter	Description
Speaker Max Output Level	Adjusts the output volume of the collaboration bar's built-in speakers. Changes apply in real time.
Speaker Mute	Mutes or unmutes the speaker output.
Speaker EQ	Turns Speaker Output EQ function on or off.
Low EQ	Adjusts gain or attenuation for the low-frequency band.
Mid EQ	Adjusts gain or attenuation for the mid-frequency band.
High EQ	Adjusts gain or attenuation for the high-frequency band.

Microphone Mute

Mutes or unmutes the microphone array.

Noise Suppression

Noise Suppression Level ranges from 0 (no suppression) to 10 (maximum suppression).

• Lower values preserve natural microphone audio quality with minimal processing.

• Higher values apply more aggressive noise reduction, which can improve clarity in noisy environments but may affect voice naturalness.

Adjust the Noise Suppression Level based on the ambient noise characteristics of the room. Start at a moderate level and increase only if background noise is reported by remote participants.

Note: Audio Fence is only available with the built-in bar mics.

Audio Fence lets you define the physical boundaries of your meeting space and specify a directional pickup region for the microphone array. Audio originating outside the defined region is rejected using direction-of-arrival processing, ensuring only in-room voices are captured.

Setting Room Dimensions

1. Enter the Room Width and Room Length to match the physical dimensions of your meeting space.

2. Select your preferred unit of measurement (feet or meters).

The room diagram updates to reflect the entered dimensions, with the collaboration bar represented at the front of the room.

Configuring the Pickup Region

The blue region on the room diagram represents the intended microphone pickup area.

Control	Description
Rotation	Rotates the beam pickup region to align with seating areas.
Fence Angle	Adjusts the angular width of the pickup region.
Quick Angle Buttons	Preset angle values for common room layouts.
Numeric Input	Enter a precise angle value directly.

Camera Preview

When no Teams call is active, you can enable the camera preview to see the room view with the pickup region of interest overlaid on the camera image. This helps verify that the fence aligns with the intended seating area.

Note: If a Teams call is active, the camera preview is unavailable because the camera is in use by the meeting.

Example Use Case

If an HVAC vent, hallway door, or other persistent noise source is located on one side of the room, adjust the Audio Fence rotation and angle to exclude that area from the pickup region. Remote participants will hear fewer distracting sounds without any loss of in-room voice coverage.
