Status (NVM-302D)
The Status component provides hardware monitoring and device identification for the NVM-302D decoder. It displays the device's operational health, network information, power status, thermal conditions, and network AV stream statistics. Use this component to monitor the NVM-302D at-a-glance, identify the physical device on the network, and diagnose hardware or connectivity issues.
The Status component is a subcomponent of the NVM-302D Decoder. It is automatically included as part of the NVM-302D in the Inventory and can be placed in the schematic to expose its control pins for scripting, UCI integration, or automated monitoring.
The NVM-302D Status component is nearly identical to the NVM-302E Status component. Key differences:
-
Power — The NVM-302D shows a single PoE LED (PoE=30W, Class 4). The NVM-302E shows two PoE LEDs (PoE=30W, Class 4 and PoE=45W, Class 5) because the encoder draws more power.
-
Network AV Sources tab — The NVM-302D shows HDMI Output 1 columns (decoder receiving and outputting streams). The NVM-302E shows Mediacast Output 1 columns (encoder transmitting streams). The NVM-302D also includes additional video statistics: Source Name, BMcast IP Src, Packets Lost, Packet Loss %, Sequence Errs, and HW Drop Count.
-
No Encoder section — The NVM-302E Status includes encoder-specific statistics (resolution, bitrate, format, frame rate) that do not appear on the NVM-302D.
The Status component does not have its own properties. When the Status component is selected, the Properties pane displays the parent NVM-302D properties (Name, Location, Is Required, Dynamically Paired, External USB Audio, Routing Groups), Mediacast properties (Input Count), and AV Display properties, but none of these belong to the Status component itself. For NVM-302D device properties, see Decoder (NVM-302D). For AV Display properties, see HDMI AV Display (NVM-302D).
The Status control panel has three tabs: Status, Network AV Sources, and Core Stream Details.
