Properties
Refer to the Properties Panel help topic for general information. In addition to standard Graphic and Script Access properties, the following properties are available:
Name
User-defined name for the device component. (Inherited from device properties.)
Location
User-defined physical location. (Inherited from device properties.)
Is Required
When set to Yes, Q-SYS Designer expects the device to be present on the network when the design runs. (Inherited from device properties.)
Dynamically Paired
When set to 'Yes', allows pairing the physical hardware dynamically in Core Manager. (Inherited from device properties.)
Audio Mode
Determines the type of audio streaming and bridging allowed by the connected Bluetooth device:
Media & Call Bridging: Paired devices can stream both phone call audio and media playback. Exposes a 2-channel (stereo) Bluetooth Input and 1-channel Bluetooth Output component.
Media Bridging: Paired devices can only stream audio from media applications (e.g., music playback). Phone call audio is blocked. Exposes a 2-channel (stereo) Bluetooth Input component.
Call Bridging: Paired devices can only stream bi-directional audio for phone calls. Exposes a 1-channel Bluetooth Input and 1-channel Bluetooth Output component.
AuraCast: Broadcasts audio to multiple supported receiving devices simultaneously. Exposes a 2-channel (stereo) Bluetooth Output component.
Verbose
When set to 'Yes', a Details section displays in the control panel with device statistics and errors, along with a Reset button. Additionally, the Input Details and Output Details fields appear depending on the presence of audio input or output components in the schematic.
Controls
The controls for the QIO-WP-BT Status component are organized into sections matching the Control Panel group boxes.
Status
ID
When the ID (Identify) button is pressed in the Status component, Configurator's Network Configuration, or on the physical hardware, the ID buttons and the physical hardware LED flash to indicate association.
Indicators flash for 5 minutes unless stopped by pressing any of the ID buttons.
Note: ID mode overrides all other LED control modes.
Status LED
Changes color to indicate the current operating condition of the device. See Status for color definitions.
Status
Displays color-coded text messages indicating the current status of the active device:
Component status is conveyed with the Status LED and Status box, which uses both color and text to indicate the current condition:
- OK (0): The device is functioning normally.
- Compromised (1): The device is functioning, but a non-fatal problem exists. Refer to the Status box for details.
- Fault (2): The device is malfunctioning or is not properly configured. Refer to the Status box for details.
- Not Present (3): If applicable to the device, this status appears when the device is not connected to the network and its Is Required component property is set to 'No'. This status also appears if the device component's Dynamically Paired property is set to 'Yes', pairing has not been assigned in Core Manager, and the device component's Is Required property is set to 'Yes'. See Dynamic Pairing.
- Unknown (3): This status appears during a Core reboot (for example, during a firmware update), or when a design is being uploaded to the Core and before it has started running.
- Missing (4): The device cannot be discovered.
- Initializing (5): The device is in the process of a firmware, patch, or configuration update, or the design is starting.
Processor Temp
Displays the current processor temperature for the primary module in degrees Centigrade (°C).
Details
Displays text indicating cumulative statistics and errors occurring with the device. Updates regularly. (Only visible when Verbose is set to Yes.)
Reset Details
Click this button to reset the statistics in the Details field to zero. (Only visible when Verbose is set to Yes.)
Audio Streams
Note: This section only appears if an audio input or output component from this inventory item is present in the schematic.
Input OK
LED indicating the status of the network audio input stream:
-
On (Green): Input stream is active and healthy.
-
Off: No input stream or stream error.
(Only visible if an input component is in the schematic.)
Input Details
Displays detailed packet and stream statistics for the input audio stream (e.g., accept count, drop count, missing count, latency timing). (Only visible when an input component is in the schematic and Verbose is set to Yes.)
Output OK
LED indicating the status of the network audio output stream:
On (Green): Output stream is active and healthy.
Off: No output stream or stream error.
(Only visible if an output component is in the schematic.)
Output Details
Displays detailed packet and stream statistics for the output audio stream. (Only visible when an output component is in the schematic and Verbose is set to Yes.)
Stream Reset Details
Click this button to reset input and output audio stream statistics to zero. (Only visible when an input/output component is in the schematic and Verbose is set to Yes.)
Network
Grandmaster
Displays either the Q-SYS Core processor name or the PTP Clock GUID. Note that:
- There can only be one Grandmaster for a Q-SYS design (for all LAN interfaces of the device).
- If available, the Core Name is displayed instead of the raw PTP clock GUID. (The Core Name is not available in some clocking topologies – for example, when a higher priority boundary clock between systems is present or with some Software Dante configurations, as when the Core syncs indirectly to another device via Software Dante’s boundary clock.)
- A PTP Clock GUID can look similar to a MAC address, but is not the same and may not be related to a device’s actual MAC address.
- If the PTP Clock GUID is derived from a MAC address (whether a Q-SYS Core processor or third-party device), it can be any MAC address on that device (any LAN interface, including those without a network connection).
Clock Offset
Indicates how much of an offset exists, in microseconds, between the device and the network Grandmaster.
Parent Port
The clock Parent Port is the device and interface name to which the device is syncing. Typically, this is the Grandmaster.
LAN A
Link
When the LED is lit, it means the interface is "UP," signifying that the network connection is active and functioning properly. Conversely, when the LED is not illuminated, it indicates that the interface is "DOWN," suggesting that there may be issues with the network connection.
IP Address
Displays the IP Address the Core is connected to.
Mode
Determines how device operates within the network environment.
Auto: The network interface automatically negotiates it settings with the network infrastructure.
Static: The network interface's settings are manually configured by the user, including the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and other parameters.
Off: Disables the network interface, preventing it from sending or receiving network traffic.
Speed
Refers to the data transfer rate supported by a network interface or connection. Speed indicates the transfer rate of megabits per second (Mbps).
PTPv2 State
Refers to the operational state or role of a network device or interface.
Passive: A device in the passive state is not actively transmitting or receiving data.
Slave: A device in the slave state is subordinate to another device, known as the master.
Master: A device in the master state holds authority or control over one or more slave devices in a network.
Uncalibrated: The uncalibrated state indicates a transition state between modes.
