Bluetooth Control (QIO-WP-BT)

Properties for Bluetooth Control are the same as Status (QIO-WP-BT) component. (The verbose property can only be selected in Status).

Friendly Name

Text field that defines the advertised Bluetooth broadcast name shown when users discover and connect to the wall plate from their mobile devices.

Idle Timeout

Sets the period of inactivity (in minutes) after which an idle connected device is automatically disconnected.

• Set to 0 to disable idle timeout (devices remain connected indefinitely until out of range or manually disconnected).

• Range: 0 to 60 minutes (default = 0)

Connected Device

Read-only text field displaying the advertised name of the currently connected mobile device. Displays an empty string when disconnected.

Connected Device LED

LED indicator:

• On (Green): A Bluetooth device is actively connected.

• Off: No device is connected.

Signal Level

Displays the current received signal strength (RSSI) of the connected device in dBm.

Device List

Table displaying previously paired mobile devices, their MAC addresses, and lock status:

• Devices are added automatically upon pairing up to the memory limit (oldest unlocked device is dropped when full).

• Lock button: Toggles the locked status of the selected device to prevent it from being purged from memory.

• Delete button: Removes the selected device from the table.

Auto-Connect

Determines whether mobile devices can connect automatically without requiring the physical or software Pair button to be pressed:

• Off: Requires pairing mode to be manually initiated via the Pair button. (default)

• Known devices only: Allows any device present in the Device List to connect automatically.

• Locked devices only: Only devices that are marked as Locked in the Device List can connect automatically.

• All devices: Any device can initiate a connection at any time without pressing the Pair button.

Device Access

Drop-down menu that restricts which devices are permitted to pair and connect with the module:

• Normal mode: All discoverable Bluetooth devices are allowed to pair. (default)

• Exclusive mode: Only specific devices that appear in the Device List are permitted to connect.

Allow Takeover

Toggle button determining behavior when a new device attempts to connect while another device is actively connected:

• Enabled (On): The active device is disconnected immediately, allowing the incoming device to connect.

• Disabled (Off): The incoming connection is rejected. The active device must disconnect, lose signal, or be forced off before another device can connect.

Pair

Trigger button that places the Bluetooth module into discovery/pairing mode for 5 minutes (identical to pressing the physical Pair button on the wall plate).

Force Disconnect

Trigger button that immediately disconnects the active Bluetooth connection (equivalent to holding the physical hardware button for 5 seconds).

Disable Pairing

Toggle button that disables the internal Bluetooth radio entirely:

• On: Disconnects any active connection, ceases all advertising, and prevents incoming connections.

• Off: Normal Bluetooth radio operation.

Play

Triggers the connected mobile device to start media playback.

Stop

Triggers the connected mobile device to stop media playback.

Pause

Triggers the connected mobile device to pause media playback.

Next

Skips to the next track.

Previous

Skips to the previous track.

Fast Forward

Shuttles forward through the active track. Click and hold to fast forward.

Rewind

Shuttles backward through the active track. Click and hold to rewind.

Volume Up

Increases output volume on the connected source device.

Volume Down

Decreases output volume on the connected source device.

Mute

Mutes/unmutes audio output on the connected source device.

Artist

Displays the artist name associated with the current track, if provided by the source device.

Album

Displays the album name associated with the current track, if provided by the source device.

Track

Displays the track title of the current track, if provided by the source device.

Playing time

Displays track progress and total track length in mm:ss / mm:ss format (e.g., 2:09 / 5:31).

Note: The Color and Hex Code controls are only active when Mode is set to Custom Color.

Mode

Drop-down menu selecting the operational mode of the wall plate LED ring:

Signal Presence: Illuminates Green when a signal is present. (default)

Meter: Reflects input signal level (Off < -60 dBFS, Green = -60 to -20 dBFS, Yellow = -20 to -3 dBFS, Red > -3 dBFS).

Mute State: Illuminates Red when audio is muted; Off when unmuted.

Custom Color: Enables manual color assignment using the Color or Hex Code controls.

Off: Keeps the LED ring unlit at all times (except during ID mode).

Hex Code

Text field displaying the current LED color as a 24-bit RGB hexadecimal string (#RRGGBB). Read-only in software; color can be set via the Color menu or an external control pin. (Only active when Mode is set to Custom Color.)

Bluetooth LED

Toggle button enabling or disabling the blue physical Bluetooth status LED on the wall plate faceplate.

Color

Drop-down menu with pre-selected colors (Black is default.):

Red (#FF0000), Coral (#FF7F50), Orange (#FFA500), Yellow (#FFFF00), Greenyellow (#ADFF2F), Green (#00FF00), Aquamarine (#7FFFD4), Cyan (#00FFFF), Skyblue (#87CEEB), Blue (#0000FF), Blueviolet (#8A2BE2), Orchid (#DA70D6), Magenta (#FF00FF), Pink (#FFC0CB), White (#FFFFFF), Black (#000000)

(Only active when Mode is set to Custom Color.)
