Space Manager

Space Manager is a feature within the Q-SYS Reflect platform that allows users to organize and monitor AV systems based on their physical locations, such as buildings, floors, and rooms. It provides a flexible hierarchy structure for visualizing and managing system deployments geographically.

The Space Manager interface in Reflect is organized into three distinct panels for efficient navigation and management. The left panel displays the hierarchical structure of spaces within the organization, such as buildings and labs. The central panel serves as the main content area, listing all buildings and rooms designated within the selected space, along with their types. On the right, a visual summary panel provides a color-coded map indicating the status of all rooms and buildings across the organization, offering a quick overview of system health.

Users can toggle between two views using the Hierarchy/Map toggle; the Hierarchy view presents a nested tree structure of all spaces, allowing navigation through the organization, buildings, and labs, while the Map view offers a geographical or graphical representation of the configured spaces.

This is a read-only field that displays the organization.

The Spaces panel lists all buildings, labs, and sites under the organization in a hierarchical format. A dropdown arrow next to each item allows users to expand nested spaces, such as viewing sub-sites within a lab. Each space is marked with an icon that indicates its type, such as a building icon for physical structures.

Main Content - Middle Pane

In the main content panel, the Create Building button allows users to add a new building under the currently selected space, while the Delete button removes selected buildings but remains inactive until at least one item is selected. The panel features columns such as Name, which displays the name of the building or space, and Type, which indicates the kind of space (for example, a building). This area contains a scrollable list of all buildings organized under the organization, making it easy to view and manage multiple entries.
